    Robert,
As a former member of Westover my voice may be irrelevant, however I will respond. I do believe your response both protected the church and yourself in its apolitical message. It is a voice of reason and calm, allowing free will and opinions to be formed by personal choice, not the Church. Well done.

The entire Trump presidency has left me exhausted and traumatized. His every utterance offends me in deeply personal ways. The man appears to get worse with each passing day.
He is supported by Republican sycophants who protect him and excuse his aberrant behaviors. We are left praying that the country will come to its senses and vote BLUE in the midterm elections. I know what the results of the elections in Arkansas will be. In a poor state with childhood poverty and hunger, with our older citizens (me included) living on fixed incomes, Arkansans will vote against our interests and re-elect Republicans despite the fact that these officials could not care less about our interests and needs. Why voters do this I am not sure, although I have my suspicions, which is not something I want to go into here.
I pray that others in other states will vote to make this administration more accountable to what the people need.

As someone who can be distracted by the comment of the day, I appreciate your reminder, Robert, for us to focus on the main thing. As I read scripture of both Old and New Testaments, the main thing is the well-being of all humans, starting with those who are poor and/or marginalized (such as immigrants, LGTBQIA+, including trans, and unhoused).
