The Mission and Social Action Ministry is responsible for both the hands on ministry of Westover Hills in Little Rock and beyond as well as our work as advocates for our neighbors. Mission and social action are part of the DNA of this community of faith.

Mission Lived with Hands and Heart
Mission at Westover Hills takes two forms.
First, this is our hands on work in the community and world alongside our partners. We work with a variety of agencies in areas as diverse as construction of beds for children who do not have them (Sleep in Heavenly Peace) to providing fresh produce and support to agencies caring for children and families.
Second, we support our partners financially. In addition to working hand in hand with our partners, we contribute to the day to day operations of their agencies as well. We view these gifts as an investment in Little Rock and our in our neighbors.

Social Action and Social Witness
Lending a helping hand to our neighbors is essential, but we also believe we need to lend our voices.
At Westover Hills Mission and Social Action are two sides of the same coin. We believe that when we see injustice in the world we have a responsibility to work to fix it AND to witness against injustice and for justice.
There is a strong legacy of support for the pastors of Westover Hills to be present and leaders in Little Rock even when doing so may come at a cost. Rev. Dick Hardie was one of the few white pastors in LIttle Rock who spoke openly and forcefully for integration and the end of Jim Crow. Rev. David Dyer was a voice for justice in Little Rock during his tenure as pastor at Westover Hill. And Pastor Robert has been active in the movement for justice for LGBTQIA+ Arkansans.
